When I feel ...Julie, the balance thing is so true. When I feel my hips trying to tighten up on me during a run I tell myself to let go and visualize my hips opening up. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I've been rolling out my legs (using my nalgene) and laying in pigeon stretch every day. That was exactly my experience when I started experiencing knee pain, ITB tightness and my hip surging up. Creating balance in our bodies, our running, our relationships, our minds, our present moments is heaven.
